The Serene Water Delivery System – Contemporary and truly innovative

2 questions about painting Gundam models?
I've been into Gunpla for a while, and now I want to start painting my models. I have two questions:
1. Would this be a good airbrush and compressor set for a beginner like myself? http://www.amazon.com/Multi-Purpose-Gravity-Dual-Action-Airbrush-Compressor/dp/B001TO578Q/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
2. What type of paints should I use with the airbrush? Acrylics, enamels, or lacquers?
The kit in the link looks like an off brand, that's why it's so cheap. I would suggest spending a little more and get a nice one that will last. I use a Paasche VL and love it. Easy to use, easy to clean. It's also siphon feed(the one in link is gravity feed), which makes it more versatile. You can attach bottles to it for large spraying as well as a cup. Compressor doesn't matter as much, but I've had a Paasche compressor for 20 years and it's still going strong.
As for paints I spray acrylics, mostly Tamiya and some Gunze. I thin it with rubbing alcohol.
Try a site like airbrush.com for more answers. Practice on old models before moving forward, and clean after every spraying(very important). Hope that helps. Come on over to the Starship Modeler forums for more help and other guys building the same:
