Different types of Shower Cubicles and Shower doors
When it comes to giving a bathroom a fresh new look, installing new shower cubicles and shower doors is some times one of the best options. There are plenty of different ones available, so it is worth taking some time over deciding which the best one to fit is. A quick browse around a local bathroom supplier will allow an individual to get an idea of what will really work in their bathroom.
Types of shower cubicles available in the market
Square – Square shower cubicles are probably the most popular. These are the cubicles that most people will fit in their bathrooms as it acts as a space saver. The shower cubicles will be rested against two of the four walls in the bathroom. This will allow two sides of the cubicle to be visible, which are usually made from glass. People that have small to medium sized bathrooms tend to use these types of shower cubicles.
Quad – A quadrant cubicle is much like a square cubicle. Again, the two sides of the cubicle will rest against the walls in the bathroom, but it will have a rounded front, making these three sided shower cubicles. These help to make a bathroom look extremely modern, but are generally used in medium to large sized bathrooms. They tend to take up slightly more space than square shower cubicles.
Pentagonal – These shower cubicles are generally used in much larger bathrooms. They are free standing which means they have open space around each of the five sides. Using these cubicles in small bathrooms is not a wise idea because it will make the bathroom seem a lot smaller than it already is. They are for larger bathrooms in much bigger homes.
Types of Shower Doors Available in the Market
When it comes to shower doors, there are two types that need to be taken into account. Sliding and normal opening are both extremely popular shower doors, but they both have their uses.
Sliding doors tend to be used in bathrooms that are much smaller. As the individual does not need any extra space to open the door, it means they can utilize the small space that they have. That being said, people with much larger bathrooms still use them as they offer great style.
Opening doors, much like individuals have on their front door are just as popular. The only problem with these shower doors is that they tend to take up a lot of space, so are not ideal for smaller bathrooms.
