Get Rid of Fuel Oil Odor Without Breaking a Sweat!
Looking for an effective solution to get rid of that so very annoying fuel oil odor? Here is a step-by-guide! Start with removing the excess oil and spread a layer of floor dry to ensure that the floor is completely dry of oil. Use a scrubber loaded with an effective oil stain remover, such as Oil Gone Easy S-200 to eliminate the greasiness. Once you're done with the process, get help from a dehydrator or a fan to get the concrete floor dried.
Cold and warm seasons alternate through the year. To stay warm in the cold weather, every home has a home oil tank built in the basement and so would your home too. However, when you have a fuel oil tank in your home, an oil spill is definitely unavoidable.
Although you try out every possible way to clean up the oil spill, you'll still find a distinctive fuel oil odor lingering in the air. Here is a step-by-step guide that will help you get rid of that disagreeable fuel oil odor without breaking a sweat.
Begin with removing the excess fuel oil that you might find pooled at certain places with the help of a wet vacuum. Do not forget to clean your wet vacuum several times before you use it again.
In case,you choose to use oil absorbent pads to absorb the excess oil, make sure you dispose them soon after you're done with cleaning the oil.
Follow it by spreading a layer of floor dry and let it absorb the spilt oil until its color is completely changed. Then, use a wet/dry vacuum to suck up the soaked floor dry. Repeat this step to ensure that the floor is completely dry.

Then, again using the wet vacuum, remove the soiled cleaner and get it disposed off. Repeat the same process until you find that the cleaner extracted after scrubbing is not dirty.
When you're done with all these steps, go ahead and open the windows, switch on the fans, or use dehumidifiers (whichever is applicable) and dry the concrete floors.

What happens if you mix oil paint with linseed oil only?
I decided to experiment recently with oil painting. I mixed the oil paints with linseed oil and NO mineral spirits. Is this going to cause problems? When I touch a spot on the painted canvas that seems dry, the paint comes off on my finger... but it doesn't feel wet.
The paint will take longer to dry so use sparingly. Try oil painting medium. Also try Japan drier to speed up drying. Again use to manufacturers direction.
